New steel bridge which took the place of the wooden one that burnt December 9, 1907. Picture taken at the time of building, note the hoisting boiler staging and men working. Bridge is over the Souhegan River and highway shown at left side. The train engine 911 is approaching Greenville, New Hampshire. It was built by the Fitchburg Railroad in 1870. A 4-4-0, 16"x24" cylinders, 56" divers, weight 40.2 tons, steam pressure 130 pounds. Was originally Fitchburg Railroad 62, 98, 111 and Boston & Maine 911. Scrapped in 1908.
