This old house, located between Bennington and the battlefield, is cut almost squarely in the center by the boundary line between the states of Vermont and New York. The farm lies in two states, three counties (Bennington, Washington and Rensselaer) and four towns (Bennington, Hoosick, Shaftsbury and White Creek). Note the pattern on the house made by the peculiar laying of the brick, in Flemish Bond.
