Excursion trains leave Peace Dale Depot Sunday afternoons, June through October, on one hour rides into unspoiled woodlands and the Great Swamp. Also of interest are the original station, enginehouse, freighthouse, etc. all built in 1876. The station's ticket office and waiting room house a museum.
