Branford Trolley Museum, East Haven, Connecticut

Open cars like 923 (pictured here carrying museum visitors) used to transport summer crowds to beaches, picnics, and parks in the pre-automobile age. In New Haven the big open trolleys handled swarms of football fans to Yale Bown every fall until 1947. Schedule of Trolley Operation for Visitors: July and August - every day; June and September - Saturday & Sunday; April, May, October, November - Sunday afternoons.
