Mt. Washington Cog Railway, Mt. Washington, New Hampshire
Trains in picture are meeting at Skyline Switch, one of two passing points on the 3 1/2 mile railroad which climbs to the top of Mt. Washington, highest point in the Northeast. Completed in 1869, this cog railway was the first in the world.
