Lightweight 2052 is one of 50 cars built by the Wason Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Massachusetts, for the Springfield Street Railway in 1927, and was numbered in the 555-604 series. Thirty-nine of these cars were sold in 1940 to the Montreal Tramways Company, where they became 2050-2088. No. 2052 was in use in the Canadian city until 1959, and after being stored for several years through the courtesy of the Montreal Transportation Commission, it came to Seashore in 1963.
