One of the most useful pieces of equipment at the Seashore Trolley Museum is No. 3246, a 10-ton electric crane built for the Boston Elevated Railway in 1916 by the Industrial Works of Bay City, Michigan. Pole setting, raising carbarn trusses, retrucking cars and handing rail are among the many tasks it has been called upon to perform. The motorman here is Theodore Santarelli de Brasch, museum president, while the conductor is "Butch," a neighbor's dog, who has adopted the trolley museum as his pet.
