County Bridge, built in 1835, Milford, New Hampshire

The first bridge between Milford and Wilton, built across the Souhegan River in the Mile Slip agreeably to an act of the General Court, passed April 2, 1779, was swept away by the great freshet in Jan. 31, 1835. In the summer this "County Bridge" was rebuilt, same being repaired in 1908. It is one of Lang's patent three-truss bridges.
