Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority 1012

No. 1012 is one of 13 F40PH-2 General Motors locomotives built for the MBTA's commuter rail lines. Pullman Standard built 60 new coaches, 15 of which are control units, to operate with the locomotives in push-pull fashion. Pictured here is one of the new locos with a complement of coaches and a control car at Norwood Central, Massachusetts. January 30, 1980.
