The former German capital of Berlin is represented in the Seashore Trolley Museum's worldwide collection of historic cars by No. 3412. Built in 1929 for the Berliner Verkehrs-Betriebe (BVG), this distinctive, single truck car is designed for multiple unit operation in 2-car trains. No. 3412 survived the air raids of World War II, and saw its final years of service in West Berlin. Following its replacement by buses, the car was donated to the Museum in 1968, and became the first streetcar to cross the Atlantic in a container ship.
