High speed and luxury were the hallmarks of Lehigh Valley Transit Co. parlor car 1030 as it whisked passengers between Allentown and Philadelphia on the famous "Liberty Bell Limited." Built by American Car & Foundry Co. in 1931, it served on the Indiana Railroad until its purchase and rebuilding by the Pennsylvania trolley line in 1941. Ten years later, it was rescued from a scrap dealer by the world's oldest and largest electric railway museum.
