The Seashore Trolley Museum's movie star is No. 396, built by the St. Louis Car Company of St. Louis, Missouri, for the Boston Elevated Railway in 1900. It played a prominent role in the filming of the Otto Preminger production, "The Cardinal", after having been extensively restored. In Boston, before coming to the museum, it was used as an electrical test car after being withdrawn from passenger service. "World's Oldest and Largest Electric Railway Museum."
