New York MTA 5043

Missing only the nose and side heralds, 5043 is the first FL9 to appear in the MTA silver and blue colors. Seven of these diesel-electric/electrics are scheduled to be rebuilt at the General Electric Apparatus Shops in Hornell, NY, location of this September 3, 1979 scene.
